If you need help placing your LinkBuddies HTML Code on your Web page, below are instructions for several of the most popular Web authoring tools. If you are using one that is not listed below, feel free to email us at support@linkbuddies.com and we will be glad to help if we can.

Remember, it is always a good idea to make a backup copy of any file before making changes to it.

Text Editor - Help for adding LinkBuddies HTML with a plain text editor.
Netscape Composer - Help for adding LinkBuddies code using Netscape® Composer.

Text Editors

Instructions for placing your LinkBuddies code on your html pages using a text editor:

Point your Browser to the page you would like to have your banners displayed. Example: www.domain.com/yourpage.html
Save a copy of the page on your hard disk. Click on "File" and "Save As" on the menu of your browser.
Start your text editor and open yourpage.html
Copy and paste the LinkBuddies code and save the page.
Open your FTP client and connect to your Web server.
Upload your new page to your Web server.
Use your browser to double check your changes.

Netscape® Composer

Instructions for placing your LinkBuddies code on your html pages using Netscape Composer:

On the menu: Click "Edit" then "Preferences."
Under Preferences: Click "Composer" then "Publishing."
Uncheck "Maintain Links" and "Keep images with page" then Click "OK."
On the menu: Click "Insert" then "HTML Tag."
Paste your LinkBuddies HTML code.
Click "OK."
Use your browser to double check your changes.

Microsoft Frontpage

Instructions for placing you LinkBuddies code on your html pages using Microsoft FrontPage:

Open your HTML document.
Place the "Insertion Point" where you want the LinkBuddies banner to display.
On the menu: Click "Insert" then "HTML Markup."
Type your LinkBuddies HTML Code. You will not be able to paste it, it must be typed.
Click "OK."

If you are using FrontPage 98 try this instead!

Open your HTML document.
On the menu: Click "View" then HTML.
Type your LinkBuddies HTML code. You will not be able to paste it, it must be typed.
Click "OK."

AOL Press

Instructions for placing you LinkBuddies code on your html pages using AOL Press:

Start AOL Press.
On the menu: Click "Tools" then "Show HTML."
Paste your LinkBuddies HTML code where you want your banner to display.
